Payer Facing Branding Guidelines
As part of the Open Banking Payer Facing Branding functionality, you can customize the text to display for these six elements on the payer-facing UI. You must provide the text to the support team of MCB Payment Gateway at the time of onboarding a merchant.
MCB Payment Gateway provides the capability to display the Agree & Continue, Consent text, Footer Text, and Terms & Conditions in a language that the payer prefers. It is recommended to pass the MCB Payment Gateway supported locale to avail the feature.
If the locale that is passed is not supported, then the Agree & Continue, Consent text, Footer Text, and Terms & Conditions will get displayed according to the default branding configuration provided at the time of your onboarding.
- Payment Method Name
- Payment Method Logo
- Consent Text

You can provide the logo ( logo image file name) that the merchant wants to use on the payer-facing UI. The logo image file must be in .PNG format and can be submitted in the logoImage field. This is an optional field.
Terms & Conditions
You must provide the text that your merchant wants to display for the Terms & Conditions set for their payers. The terms and conditions text display to the payer as a hyperlink. The text must be provided in the termsAndConditions field. The payer clicks on the hyperlink to display a pop-up window with the terms and conditions text. The #termsAndConditions field can be referenced as #TnC in the Consent Text and Footer Text fields.

The values that you provide against the hashtag (#) values are used for the Terms & Conditions (#TnC), the merchant's name (#merchantName), and the payment method (#paymentMethod). The hashtag placeholders (#TnC, #merchantName, and #paymentMethod) allow you to include and display the terms and conditions text, the merchant's name, and the payment method in the consent and footer texts on the payer-facing UI.
Example
- By clicking 'Agree & Continue,' I agree to the #TnC and authorize the #merchantName to initiate a payment transaction from my bank account to the XYZ_Merchant through the #paymentMethod.
- By proceeding ahead and clicking 'Pay,' I agree to the #TnC and authorize the #merchantName to initiate a payment transaction from my bank account to the XYZ_Merchant through the #paymentMethod.
- I understand that I am providing the consent to initiate a transaction for the #merchantName in accordance with the #TnC.

The values that you provide for the #merchantName and #paymentMethod are used to display the merchant's name and the name of the payment method at the bottom of the page on the payer-facing UI. This field is optional.
